Duties:
- Perform grooming services on a variety of pets, including bathing, brushing, and hair trimming
- Handle animals with care and ensure their safety and comfort throughout the grooming process
- Clean and maintain grooming tools and equipment
- Provide basic grooming services such as nail trimming and ear cleaning
- Assess the health of pets and report any concerns to pet owners
- Maintain accurate records of grooming services provided to each pet
- Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand their specific grooming requests
Skills:
- Animal handling: Ability to safely and confidently handle a variety of animals, including dogs and cats
- Pet grooming: Proficient in various grooming techniques, including bathing, brushing, hair trimming, and styling
- Heavy lifting: Ability to lift and carry heavy animals or equipment as needed during the grooming process
- Veterinary assistant: Basic understanding of veterinary procedures and terminology
- Dog handling: Experience in handling dogs of different sizes, breeds, and temperaments
- Customer service: Strong interpersonal skills to provide excellent customer service to pet owners
- Animal care: Understanding of animal behavior, nutrition, and basic health care needs
- Pet sitting: Familiarity with pet sitting services, including feeding, walking, and providing companionship
