Join us and be a part of something special! Job Description: Omni Tempe Hotel at ASU is seeking a Housekeeping Manager to join the team of our brand-new upscale hotel.
Omni Tempe Hotel at ASU provides Tempe with 330 rooms, 36,000 square feet of event space and four new food and beverage outlets.
Featuring a rooftop upscale restaurant and the largest ballroom in the area, we expect to provide tremendous options for our guests for dining and entertainment.
So where does the Housekeeping Manager fit in? This role will assist in managing all housekeeping functions.
This role will help drive quality assurance for the Housekeeping department and maintain cost control measures.
This role will also support the housekeeping team in their growth and development.
Our ideal candidate has a passion for leading a dynamic team of associates and providing exemplary moments of service to each and every guest.
Responsibilities: Supervises and manages the day-to-day operations of the Housekeeping department.
Understand associates positions well enough to perform duties in associates’ absence.
Responds to all guest requests appropriately and remains alert, courteous, and helpful to guests and fellow associates at all times.
Communicates any needs or concerns within the hotel with the appropriate departments.
Maintains open and clear communication with all departments and guests to ensure consistent service.
Attend and prepare for daily stand-ups in order to obtain information from the previous shift and communicate with the incoming associates.
Assists Housekeeping leadership team with all of the following departmental functions and concerns: assist with opening and the closing shift, maintaining uniform control, guest requests, monthly meetings, quality assurance in public space and guest rooms, linen and supply inventories, assist with scheduling, Kronos and payroll cost controls.
Follow all Loss Prevention procedures regarding guest property, safety and security.
Reporting any concerns to department managers or loss prevention in a timely manner.
Complete full room inspections and services audits for associates while providing coaching and feeding back in a timely manner.
Assists in maintaining Omni standards of cleanliness by inspecting rooms on a daily basis.
Supports the developmental needs of others through coaching, mentoring to assist associates to improve their knowledge or skills.
Responsible for Manager on Duty coverage as needed.
Qualifications: Prior Housekeeping Supervisory/Management experience required.
Previous Resort experience preferred.
High school graduate or equivalent.
Must be 21 years of age or older.
General computer proficiency and the ability to learn hotel computer programs, Microsoft Word and Excel.
Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate both verbally and in writing in English with guests, management, and co-workers, both in person and by telephone Ability to work well under pressure, managing quick turns and high occupancies.
Strong organizational skills.
Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Move, bend, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
Stand or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift.
Requires repetitive motion of arms, hands, and legs.
May work both indoors and outdoors.
*This position is a full-time, on-site position with no work from home flexibility.
