Event Production Manager, working directly with Senior Leadership, owns the successful delivery of large complex projects; supporting the Print, Fabrication, and Technology divisions, and facilitates quarterly planning for top revenue projects.
Leading coordination across teams such as sales, design, and operations, they must understand the broader bluemedia business and ensure detailed project tracking.
Balancing digital and project management skills, this self-starter aims to elevate bluemedia with their expertise.
They are chiefly responsible for planning and executing events, with a background in large-scale event production and strong project management.
Main Duties and Responsibilities Own the successful delivery of large events on time, within budget, in scope with client satisfaction.
Develop and own project plans that include key activities, internal and external delivery team dependencies, and key milestones that achieve defined business objectives.
Oversee on-site event operations, ensuring smooth event setup, efficient logistics, and exceptional attendee experiences.
Partner with sales, execution, and operations to ensure delivery of product and technology scope of work.
Lead project intake implementation to ensure projects are assigned out to correct project managers and delivery teams.
Partner with other departments to align and collaborate on awareness, timing, requirements, and prioritization of upcoming contractual and revenue related projects.
Build and foster relationships with Sales, Execution, Operation and Finance.
Support the Solutions team with related process improvements in conjunction with other company functions.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, security measures, and emergency protocols.
Conduct post-event evaluations to assess success, gather feedback, and identify areas for improvement.
Document critical processes with data extraction and providing appropriate training to all staff.
Significant Travel is required, including but not limited to site surveys, installation/dismantle oversight, and client walkthroughs.
Performs other duties as assigned Required Skills / Abilities Proven experience leading successful large events with multiple internal and external stakeholders Must balance digital, technical and project management skills and expertise to provide the necessary environment for success Strong knowledge of change management principles and balancing scope, cost, and timelines to achieve optimum outcomes.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in both verbal and written formats Proven experience as a cross-functional Project/Program Manager Polished leadership presence and experience creating accountability across teams and communicating at leadership level Experience managing several teams and multiple simultaneous projects Understanding of project planning, targets and deliverables management, decision-making and escalation points Aptitude with time and project management, managing multiple deadlines at once In-depth knowledge of a variety of planning and project management tools (e.
g.
, Jira, Confluence, MS Project, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, Asana, Trello, Instagantt) and other programs used to track and analyze project data Comfort working across multiple delivery models Ability to read the room to understand the right tone, approach, and solution to put in place Influential style, particularly building relationships with cross functional partners; ability to drive collaboration Must be flexible and willing to work the demands of the department which may be subject to evenings, weekends and holidays.
Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree (B.
A.
) or equivalent from a four-year college; or equivalent combination of education and experience 10+ years of event management experience.
7 - 10 years of cross functional project and program management experience, preferably in the print industry 5 - 7 years of Technical Project Management experience 5 - 7 years in Change Management or Rollout of new Delivery System Experience with Corebridge, Smartsheets and Prestige a plus Advanced computer skills in Excel and other MS programs as well as databases, production and installation software platforms.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times.
Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, and ramps.
Frequent travel required.
