We are looking for an experienced and motivated Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of housekeeping, including managing staff, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining the hotel's cleanliness.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in housekeeping, excellent organizational and communication skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
The position is part time Supervisor (2-3 days per week) and room attendant the remaining days.
Hilton experience preferred.
*Responsibilities:* * Has the ability to report to work on time.
* Has the ability to follow instructions from supervisors.
* Has the ability to interact with co-workers in a civil and businesslike manner.
* Has the ability to understand and follow work guidelines and procedures.
* Has the ability to accept constructive criticism without becoming defensive.
* Has the ability to walk, stand, remain stationary for long periods of time; ability to walk up and down stairs, reach to heights of up to 72 inches, bend to floor, lift, push, pull when specific job duties require.
* Answers any questions about the hotel and community, is knowledgeable about the location of attractions, restaurants, shopping, churches, and answers complaints or concerns by the guests.
* Is part of the hotel’s security team and is responsible for immediately reporting any potential safety or security hazards to immediate supervisor.
* Has the ability to lead and manage others.
* Supervises housekeeping and laundry duties following directions given by the immediate supervisor.
* Continually trains all room attendant staff in all their duties, including BBP, OSHA, and Hazcomm 2012 standards, fire safety and security procedures.
Also informs housekeeping staff of rules, regulations and Company policies and procedures.
* Advises immediate supervisor of personnel problems and recommends appropriate disciplinary action.
* Evaluates employees on job performance.
* Prepares daily cleaning schedule for room attendants.
* Prepares room status report of guest rooms with the guest services representative.
* Inspects all guest rooms and public areas of the hotel daily.
* Inspects each guest room for bed bugs and other pests.
* Reports any maintenance problems immediately to immediate supervisor and maintenance person.
* Responsible for controlling payroll costs and other operational expenses (cleaning and laundry supplies, chemical usage, utilities, linens, etc.
) as directed.
* Assures that room attendant staff is in compliance with dress code.
* Attends regular meetings with the general manager concerning the operations of the hotel.
* Does room attendant's and laundry person's duties as required (see Room Attendant and Laundry Job Descriptions).
* Complies with BBP, OSHA, and Hazcomm 2012 standards.
* Knows the potential hazards of any chemicals used and the proper personal protective equipment required.
* Enforces the use of personal protective equipment to the room attendant and laundry staff as directed by the Safety Data Sheets.
*Other Duties and Responsibilities:* * Cleans guest rooms as required (see Room Attendant Job Description).
* Strips linens as required (see Room Attendant Job Description).
* Completes monthly inventory of all linens, guest room supplies, and cleaning supplies as directed.
* Coordinates the ordering of necessary linens and supplies with immediate supervisor.
* Honors a "Do Not Disturb" sign on guest room doors.
* Checks the room again at around 11 a.
m.
and makes arrangements with the guest for cleaning room.
* Checks stay-over rooms as late as possible.
* Schedules routine duties with immediate supervisor.
* Mattress rotation.
* Deep cleaning of guest rooms: wash walls, shower curtains, windows, vacuums carpet edges and under furniture and removal of all linen.
* Performs any additional duties that, from time to time, may be assigned by immediate supervisor.
