About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Sourcing Consultant to support Data Center hardware as part of the Enterprise Sourcing Group.
In this role, you will: Lead sourcing initiatives for Data Center Hardware & Software (Servers, Storage, Virtualization), Network Infrastructure and Services, End User Services (Desktops/Laptops/Monitors), Private Cloud (IaaS, PaaS, Virtual Containers), Mainframe Hardware, Data Warehouse, Field Services and IT-specific Professional Services.
Manage RFPs/cost modeling and negotiations, benchmarking analysis, deal briefings for executive review and vendor relationship overviews.
Lead contract negotiations and manage supplier relationships of high risk or complexity with significant impact to the business strategy Manage suppliers and relationships from a life-cycle perspective with a focus on reducing cost or spend, increasing customer satisfaction, and maximizing business impact Establish e-business, procure-to-pay, diversity, environmental, and Strategic Sourcing cost reduction strategies to continually improve category effectiveness and efficiencies Customize legal contract language to proactively anticipate technology, market and business issues Control all aspects of negotiation and set negotiation strategy Support acquisitions including negotiation reassignment on high risk contracts Participate in the review of closing agreements Lead projects required to ensure legal and regulatory compliance, as well as educate and act as a resource for Contract Analysts with regard to such issues Educate Contract Analysts and business partners on risk issues and handle vendor disputes Provide direction and guidance to less experienced staff Partner with business units to issue and evaluate Request For Proposals and to ensure successful implementation of agreements Partner with business units to ensure standard contracts include corporate requirements Establish and maintain a good rapport with executive management, vendors, and third party lessors or manufacturers to optimize negotiation, savings and service improvements and problem resolution Act as a focal point for coordinating sourcing efforts across business entities Required Qualifications: 5+ years of Sourcing, Procurement experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education Desired Qualifications: Experience managing IT specific sourcing activity for hardware and software categories.
Experience working with industry-leading IT suppliers, including Dell/EMC, VMware, HPE, IBM, HPI and Teradata.
Fundamental understanding of analyzing technology proposals for both existing and emerging technology platforms.
Knowledge of negotiation process for maintenance renewals, Capex and OPEX purchases and software licensing (perpetual and subscription).
Strong collaboration skills with experience working in a fast paced matrix environment.
Job Expectations: This position offers a hybrid work schedule Locations: *Must be able to sit in one of the listed locations Charlotte, North Carolina (Innovation Park, Two Wells Fargo) Minneapolis, Minnesota (550 Wells Fargo) Chandler, Arizona (B Building) Base Compensation Range: $96,600 - $171,800 USD Annual Eligible for discretionary annual bonus.
