*Primary purpose and function:*
Southeast Valley Gastroenterology (SEVG) is an established 8 physician and 14 physician assistant gastroenterology practice.
We are looking for a Clinical Office Manager to oversee both clinical locations with a total staff of 39.
Under the direction of the practice’s executive leadership, the Clinical Office Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day clinical operations, and to facilitate communication between providers and staff.
Functional areas include patient vitals and rooming, check in/out, office and procedure scheduling, medical records, and prescription/imaging authorizations.
*Essential functions and responsibilities:*
* Support and maintain a work environment that embodies professional excellence, teamwork, integrity, mutual respect, and confidentiality.
* Manage all assigned staff to ensure performance of tasks is completed in an efficient and professional manner.
* Direct and evaluate the day-to-day operational processes and staff schedules for the clinic.
* Plan for and implement processes that position SEVG for continued growth and success.
* Direct and maintain and make requested changes to provider schedule templates, orders, and referrals templates.
* Collaborate with providers, staff, and organizational leaders to obtain feedback on policies, procedures, guidelines, and standards of care.
* Manage the ordering of clinical/office supplies and maintain inventory levels of critical supplies.
* Work directly with practice MIPS consultants and EMR advisors to ensure quality measures are met.
Complete actionable items as needed.
* Super user for practice management and EMR systems.
* Serve as a resource to staff by answering questions and assisting with problems.
* Address and resolve patient complaints that require elevated attention.
* Facilitate training and development of existing and new employees.
* Actively participate in the hiring, training, counselling, and evaluation of assigned staff.
* Maintain appropriate documents, reports, and files to comply with all applicable laws and policies.
* Other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
*Knowledge and Skill:*
* Bachelors preferred.
* Minimum of 3 years supervisory/management experience in a healthcare setting.
Experience with oversight of multiple locations is a plus.
* Knowledge of governmental, legal, and regulatory provisions related to clinical operations.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products and medical practice management software.
*Physical demands:*
* Must be able to travel between multiple locations.
* Frequent alpha/numeric keyboarding.
* Oral communication over the phone and in person.
* Must be able to exercise patience and accuracy in the face of multiple interruptions.
