Maintenance Manager
Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring that the Heritage Academy campus is presentable and well-functioning by performing repairs to facilities as assigned.
This includes, but is not limited to, tasks involving carpentry, electrical, plumbing, masonry, and painting.
Duties & Responsibilities
Perform routine upkeep and maintenance of furnishings, fixtures, and equipment within the assigned unit
Order supplies and parts as needed
Complete weekly and monthly preventative maintenance checklists
Perform janitorial duties as needed
Respond to emergency maintenance requests
Assist with renovations and remodeling
Qualifications, Competencies & Strengths
Education: High School diploma or equivalent
Experience: Minimum of one-year experience in facilities maintenance and janitorial work
Special Skills:
Basic background in plumbing, painting and/or electrical work
Experience in operating maintenance equipment, including hand and power tools, test equipment and pressure washer preferred.

Physical functions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 75 pounds.
Equipment used: Frequent use of maintenance equipment including hand and power tools,
Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.
The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
