ABOUT THE ARC
The Salvation Army (TSA) Adult Rehabilitation Center (ARC) is a no-fee program to assist men & women in their journey to complete our rehabilitation program.
We are grateful for the contributions our valued employees make toward the maintenance and effectiveness of the programs.
The organization is indebted to and dependent on the diligence and devotion of its employees.
The Residence Manager is responsible for the management of the men’s residence facility and beneficiaries.
As a team member in the Rehabilitation area, he promotes a climate for effective performance and learning through his attitudes, willingness to teach and learn and availability to beneficiaries and staff.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
High School graduate or equivalent.
Program graduate with continuing involvement in a program of recovery is desirable, but not required
Possession of valid Driver License with acceptable driving record
Integrity, resourcefulness, initiative and evidence of self-improvement
No evidence of existing chemical dependency
If chemically dependent, shall be free of and have at least one your free of any chemical abuse or dependency
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis.
Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, clothing carts, merchandise carts, rolling clothing racks, fixtures, furniture dollies, platform trucks and carts, hand trucks and miscellaneous carts.
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
Ability to perform various repetitive motion tasks
Ability to operate a motor vehicle
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
Provide routine supervision of residence desk, canteen, laundry and janitorial Work Therapy Assignments, including such training as needed in those areas.
Ensure proper maintenance of grounds and buildings, scheduling repairs and maintenance as needed
Provide orientation of new beneficiaries to the requirements of the residence and the program
Assign rooms including private rooms in accordance with set procedures
Conduct random locker and room checks as required by review standards
Monitor, facilitate, supervise beneficiary activities including prescription medications, house meetings and devotions
Provide short-term crisis counseling
Provide recreational programming for beneficiaries.
Participate in all activities at the residence
Act as a role model for beneficiaries, both as a resident of the ARC and as a man in recovery
Maintain good order and discipline without favoritism in accordance with policies
