A New Leaf is expanding its homeless shelter services! Our shelters provide everything, including safety, basic needs, and comprehensive services that support vulnerable individuals.
Our dedicated staff offer comfortable and stable living, comprehensive services, and compassionate attention to the challenges everyone may face, A New Leaf helps those experiencing homelessness become self-reliant once again.
As a Homeless Shelter Supervisor, you will play a vital role in managing the and overseeing the daily operations of a homeless shelter.
Your primary responsibility is to ensure the safety, well-being, and support of the staff that support homeless individuals seeking refuge at Phoenix Bridge shelter.
This role requires a compassionate and empathetic approach to address the unique needs of the homeless population while maintaining a safe and organized environment.
Salary: $50,000 Location: Phoenix, AZ Schedule: Thursday – Monday; 3:30pm – 12am (Tues/Wed off) QUALIFICATIONS Education: • High School degree or GED required.
• Associate or bachelor's degree preferred in a related field Experience: • 1-year of supervisory experience required • 1-year extensive experience and knowledge in the formulation, development, implementation and monitoring of prevention/intervention services and programs.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES, but not limited to: Personnel Management & Documentation: • Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate program Support Partners.
• Set goals for ongoing professional growth and ensure high performance standards.
• Maintain accurate and routine paperwork, including progress notes, productivity reports, and incident reports.
Program Operations & Client Support: • Assist the Program Manager in the daily functioning of the shelter facility.
• Oversee overall program operations, ensuring compliance with agency, licensing, and contractual requirements.
• Provide information, education, and guidance to clients and support system members.
• Advocate for clients and coordinate care effectively.
Quality Management & Team Collaboration: • Actively participate in Quality Management initiatives.
• Implement and manage organizational changes through a team approach.
• Promote a positive, collaborative work environment.
• Communicate program progress, activities, and needs to staff members.
Reporting and Communication: • Submit weekly written reports to the Program Manager.
• Effectively communicate program needs verbally and through formal/informal report writing.
Collaboration with Departments: • Work with Philanthropy Department for volunteer placement.
• Collaborate with Human Resources for intern placement.
Resource Allocation & On-Call Rotation: • Demonstrate clear understanding of program purpose and goals.
• Allocate resources in support of program objectives.
• Participate in "on-call" rotation as required.
Employee Evaluations & Payroll tasks: • Complete 90-day, semi-annual, and annual employee evaluations for direct reports.
• Enter timecard information accurately in Dayforce before payroll deadlines.
Compliance/Requirements: • Valid Driver’s License with reliable transportation • Current Auto Liability Insurance • Clean 39 Month Motor Vehicle Record • Must Be At Least 21 Years of Age • Must be able to obtain Class One Fingerprint Clearance Card immediately upon hire (if there are any uncertainties whether an applicant may have to go through an appeal process; they are encouraged to complete that process prior to applying as an invalid card will result in termination of employment) We appreciate your interest in our organization.
