Here are the details: This position is responsible for assisting in building carrier base, negotiating cost pricing with new and current carrier vendors, providing quotes to customers, analyzing pricing related DATA, generating, and submitting pricing for RFP’s.
Responsibilities: • Actively search for new carriers and negotiate rates.
• Assists with Carrier Onboarding.
• Generates and provides rate quotes to customers, this includes emailing rates, assisting with RFP projects.
• Assists with creating or validating all rate sheets needed for both new customers as well as any customers with a rate change.
• Changes or adds new rates in the TMS and update all associated files.
• Assists with covering and tendering loads as needed.
• Navigates the various web-based systems used by States' Customers: CASS, KEWILL, BluJay, AFS Vista, DATS, Ryder etc.
• Promotes good customer service relations, both internally and externally, through resolution of service issues in a timely, effective, and professional manner.
The successful candidate will possess the following attributes: • 5-10 years of relevant work experience required of managing a book of carriers and completing spot quotes.
• Must have solid critical thinking/analytical skills.
• Must be proficient in MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and Google Docs.
• Must be able to work within a TMS.
• Must show strong negotiation skills.
• Must have experience working in carrier load boards.
• Must have strong analytical skills and demonstrate a strong entrepreneurial mindset.
• Must demonstrate professional verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to multi-task successfully, be a quick problem solver, and demonstrate follow-through skills.
• Must show initiative, strong attention to detail, and time management skills.
• Must be adaptable, follow directions, and maintain organized work processes.
