Join us! Role Mission: The Director of Talent Recruitment is responsible for leading network-wide systems related to staff recruitment and retention.
In this role, you will work collaboratively with the Talent, Curriculum & Instruction, Operations, and campus teams to facilitate a best-in-class candidate experience with the goal of filling all roles with a mission-aligned candidate eager to impact our team and serve our community.
This role reports to the Chief Talent Officer.
Your Impact: Demonstrate a thorough understanding of Vista College Prep’s mission, vision, and culture, and effectively communicate VCP’s team member experience to a wide variety of potential candidates; Set a vision of excellence for candidates’ and hiring managers’ experience with VCP’s recruitment life cycle from initial touch point through onboarding and manage execution aligned to that vision Develop trusting relationships with hiring managers in order to serve as a key advisor and thought partner on hiring and placement decisions for internal and external candidates Train and support hiring managers and the Talent team on their respective responsibilities Manage clear consistent communication systems with candidates and among hiring managers and the Talent team, particularly during hiring season Manage data tracking systems to assess the health of the Talent pipeline and recommend or make adjustments as needed Manage job postings, including updating and creating job descriptions as needed, managing sponsored job posts and the related budget, and identifying new posting sources Lead candidate sourcing efforts, including but not limited to Engaging prospective candidates by attending career fairs and networking events; Developing and leading VCP’s university-based recruitment strategy, including but not limited to email campaigns, candidate engagement, and on-campus events; Managing VCP's referral program with the goal of leveraging it as a primary recruitment source for new hires; Supporting activities related to VCP’s digital marketing strategy as it pertains to Talent recruitment, in consultation with internal and external partners and vendors; Identifying and cultivating relationships with passive job-seekers as well as program or university partners that could lead to the development of a Talent pipeline; Researching industry trends and best practices to inform sourcing strategies; Oversee the internal hiring system Set goals of the system and its impact on key stakeholders Manage clear, consistent communication systems with candidates and among hiring managers and the Talent team Set and track success criteria to manage the system’s effectiveness Lead collaboration with Principals and network leaders to cultivate strong staff culture throughout the school year; Manage designated aspects of HR compliance systems and execute HR projects and tasks as assigned; Collaborate with Network Support Team members to maintain a strong culture and warm, collegial, and mission-focused environment; Perform other related duties as assigned.
Your Qualifications: Belief in the Vista College Prep mission and educational model; Strong verbal, written, organizational, and analytical skills; Proficiency with Paycom Applicant Tracking System referred; Strong sense of initiative - takes direction well, but does not wait for it; Attention to detail to ensure smooth, predictable, and effective execution of desired outcomes; 5 years of teaching, school-based, or recruitment experience preferred; Minimum of an Bachelor's Degree; Valid IVP fingerprint clearance card.
