Director of Quality, DESCRIPTION: The Director of Quality is responsible for leading the design, deployment, and implementation of the end-to-end quality management system for the Arizona FM Industries plants.
This is a highly visible and customer facing role critical to the growth and success of the company.
As the senior Quality Representative and a member of the Coporate Executive staff, responsibilities include development of Arizona quality strategy, goals, and plans to achieve them.
Oversee and coordinate quality system and quality control efforts across all AZ facilities.
Drive cross-functional continuous improvement efforts to meet and exceed customer expectations.
Make critical, creative, and strategic decisions as a result of analysis of available information including risk-assessment for the business.
Director of Quality, ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Leads the AZ operation in development of overall quality system and metrics, objectives, goals and long-term strategies.
Maintain quality records, spreadsheets, logs and databases as required, and present performance reports to management, customers and suppliers.
Ensure MRB and RMA processes are managed effectively and based on standard industry practices.
Oversight of Metrology Labs including optimal utilization of inspection equipment, ensuring inspection strategies follow industry BKM's.
Maintain ISO 9001 compliance at all AZ Facilities.
Identify department training needs and provide appropriate training to team members as well as provide and/or arrange quality related training for company-wide team members.
Director of Quality, RECOMMENDED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS: ISO Lead Auditor certification preferred ASQ CQM/CQE/SSBB/LSS preferred Director of Quality, EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: B.
S.
in a Technical, Materials Science or Quality-related discipline required.
Graduate degree a plus.
Minimum of Ten years’ experience in quality management/engineering with demonstrable success in progressively challenging roles.
Semiconductor industry or other manufacturing experience preferred.
Experience maintaining ISO9001 quality management systems across multiple facilities.
Customer focused – prioritizes customer needs as the primary consideration in decisions.
Ability to effectively communicate at all levels internally and externally across all mediums.
Ability to plan and execute presentations to large groups of people (internal/external).
Proficient in Microsoft Office (MS Excel, Word, Outlook) as well as Visio, Project, PowerPoint.
Strong organizational development and team building skills.
Understanding of statistical tools and analysis.
Proficient knowledge of GD&T preferred.
Demonstrated ability to plan and manage complex projects.
Director of Quality, PHYSICAL DEMANDS WHILE PERFORMING THE JOB: Sitting for extended periods of time, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling or bending to the floor, use of hands/fingers to handle objects; reach with hands and arms and overhead; and talk and/or hear instructions.
Lifting and/or moving items up to 15 pounds.
Close vision, color vision, (to differentiate shades and color), depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Director of Quality, WORKING ENVIRONMENT OF THE JOB: Approximately 80/20 office and shop floor environment Low noise levels in office environment.
High noise levels while working near operating machines.
Physical hazards while working near moving equipment and mechanical parts.
Possible breathing of fumes, odors, dust and mist.
