Position Summary:
The Mechanical Supervisor is responsible for Maintenance, Service and Repair of Underground Mining fleet associated with decline development.
They will manage the maintenance department and coordinate all mechanical activities.
Ensure that standards for safe work practices are observed.
Responsibilities:
• Establish methods to meet work schedules and coordinate work activities with other departments.
• Manage maintenance staff and schedules to ensure adequate coverage for 24hr operations.
• Train and or arrange training for your staff.
• Operational Readiness of mining equipment.
• Maximize Equipment uptime and conformance with Safe operating condition.
• Assure proper tooling and spare parts are available for critical maintenance and repairs.
• Prepare reports and attend site meetings.
• Other related duties as may be assigned.
Qualifications:
• Journeyman/trade certificate in a relevant trade is required or related experience.
• Experience with Maintenance and Repair of underground mining fleet; Bolters, Jumbos, LHD Muckers, Mine Trucks, Spraymec, Transmixers, Scissor Lift, Tractors Etc.
• Minimum 10 + years in progressive supervisory roles.
• Rudimentary knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
