Position Summary
This position is responsible for supporting Risk Management Leadership in the investigation of certain safety events and administration of the complaints and grievance program.
Acts as a key adviser in the areas of mitigating risks where appropriate relating to complex or unresolved complaints and grievances.
This position will work with the Director of Risk Management to mentor and coach the organization on how to properly mitigate and de-escalate complex situations, which may pose a financial or reputational risk to the organization; and demonstrate appropriate utilization of the various tools available to drive change.
Education
Bachelors degree in healthcare related field.

Experience
Three (3) or more years experience in one (1) or more of the following fields: Registered Nurse, Social Worker, Respiratory Therapist, or other clinical professional field.

Excellent problem-solving skills with the proven ability to be creative and find innovative solutions to complex problems.

Previous work experience facilitating multidisciplinary meetings with clinicians, physicians, and/or managers.
Ability to organize multiple tasks and projects and maintain control of own work flow.

Knowledge of Joint Commission, ADHS, and CMS regulations.
(Preferred)
Must possess project management skills as well as strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively listen, present, discuss, report, and explain issues relative to specific investigations, trends and professional issues.

Proficient in data analysis, statistics, risk evaluation, investigation skills, and medical terminology.
(Preferred)
Ability to manage and negotiate in emotional and confrontational situations, with sensitivity to operations and culture.
