POSITION OVERVIEW
As a Field Engineer, you will play a significant part in the success of planning, organizing and implementing project engineering & project controls tasks.
Excellent communication, attention to detail and an ability to work well in a team environment are considered critical to this position.
We are looking for individuals with motivation and eagerness to expand their skillset in infrastructure construction.
DISTRICT OVERVIEW
Kiewit Southwest District specializes in heavy civil, transportation and water projects, we typically self-perform a large portion of the work.
We do self-performance work such as mass grading, drainage, PCCP paving, utilities and more.
We are looking for people committed to the construction industry with safety, quality, costs and schedule in mind.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Building TI Lead:
Manages and coordinates with building subcontractors
Assists in scheduling and coordination of building scope of work
Assist in schedule updates for building scopes
Support building superintendent with field inspections
Review and process pay applications for subcontractors
Additional Field Engineering:
Assist in interpretation of drawings and specifications for field crews and craft supervision
Perform quantity calculations by taking measurements and determining percentage of completed/installed materials and work
Assist in the preparation of work plans and work packages
Assist in field surveying and work layout support including elevation, control points, and compilation of as-built data
Assist in compiling, processing, and confirming daily labor timesheets
Assist in the preparation of Job Hazard Analysis (JHA’s)
Participate in jobsite safety reviews, toolbox meetings, mass safety meetings, and safety training
Order and schedule material deliveries
Plan, schedule, and coordinate work groups on the jobsite
Supervise field operations.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in a construction-related field of engineering or equivalent experience and education
Proficient in building submittal review (electrical, plumbing, mechanical, fire, framing, structural steel, etc.
)
Understand building tenant improvement process
At least 2 years of experience in the construction field
Must have working knowledge and be able to direct the operations of at least these management systems: scheduling CPM, unit man-hour performance, material control, estimating and subcontracts.
Experience with leadership and management of people, communication (verbal and written), planning and organization.
