Affinaquest is seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented professional who is passionate about rolling up their sleeves and digging into the nuanced details of company strategy and tactics in support of Human Capital planning, leadership excellence, and people development.
The successful candidate will, first and foremost, be a partner to the CEO and will also engage with key stakeholders, including investors and the board.

POSITION DESCRIPTION The Director of Human Capital will have the opportunity to significantly and immediately impact the business.
This individual will play an integral role in supporting a growth company through human capital management.
Equally important, the Director will continue to build upon the energy and excitement of a diverse and creative culture.
They will lead a current team of two individuals.
Experience in fast-paced environments and a proven track record of supporting the continued development and sustainability of a culture of integrity, high-performing teams, cross-company collaboration, and an infusive esprit de corps.
This human capital leader will develop and execute strategic and tactical initiatives that empower and hold accountable a dynamic and diverse workforce.
The successful candidate will be expected to have experience in transformational and growth-oriented environments, anticipating and proactively addressing issues and working autonomously while using judgment to seek input and keep leadership informed.
Reporting to the Chief Legal Officer (CLO) and as a member of the Executive Leadership Team, this individual will be responsible for creating scale through the implementation and execution of leading practices based on the projected growth curve and continued maturity of the company.
The company’s current workforce is comprised of 100 team members.

KEY RELATIONSHIPS Reports to: Chief Legal Officer (CLO) Other key relationships: CEO, CFO, Executive Team Members, other Functional Leadership, and Financial Sponsors Requirements: MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS TO APPLY 10+ years of progressive and proven successful experience leading human capital in high-growth software environments.
With specific experience in the leadership, development, and execution of: Nine-Box Assessment and Action Planning Companywide job and compensation framework Maturing an annual goal-setting process with a continuous feedback loop Creative leadership in recruiting and onboarding Policy development and management Professional development, talent management, and succession planning Employment law compliance PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES INCLUDE: Collaborates with senior leadership to understand the organization's staffing, recruiting, development, succession planning, and retention goals and strategies.
Plans, leads, develops, coordinates, and implements all human capital programs, policies, and processes to support the organization's strategic needs.
Leads efforts for employee relations, compensation & benefits/leave administration (total rewards), and health & safety, including periodic assessment of and recommendations for compensation and benefits programs.
Drives performance and talent management initiatives, including training & development, engagement, and recognition programs.
Implements regular surveys and data collection for achieving company strategic, human capital, and employee performance goals.
Develop and execute best practices for hiring and talent management.
Monitors and ensures the organization's compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, regulations, and leading practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance.
Leverages trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
Facilitates professional development, training, and certification activities for HR staff.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to easily present to large groups.
Outstanding client service (internal and external); ability to interact and foster trust with people at all levels.
Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to direct, manage, and review the work of others.
Able to handle confidential material and sensitive situations in a reliable manner.
Leads by example as a “player-coach.
” Performs other duties as required.
IDEAL ATTRIBUTES Higher Education experience a plus.
Graduate-level coursework in HR or business preferred.
SHRM certification with SPHR preferred.
POSITION LOCATION Corporate Headquarters – ASU/SkySong, Scottsdale, AZ.
-Hybrid Office Policy: Employees must be in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
