The Branch Manager leads, plans and drives all sales and service initiatives delivered in the retail location, while growing revenue and credit union membership.
They also are responsible for continually improving retail financial and operational performance while remaining committed to the credit union's core values ("The Big 4") of member solutions, employee engagement, community involvement, and financial results.
The Branch Manager is responsible for team member development and overall performance of staff by providing coaching, promoting exceptional member experience, de-escalating member issues, and driving the overall branch performance.
The Branch Manager is also responsible for supporting and generating new business through community outreach, acquiring new memberships, and improving retention and growth of existing relationships.
What you will do here: Create an environment that promotes member solutions aligning business goals with member needs, and building and leveraging member relationships.
Actively develop branch leaders and staff by utilizing effective sales coaching to build product knowledge, sales skills and job proficiency.
Actively coach, develop and retain the branch team with focus on creating and maintaining an agile workforce focused on consultative relationships with members and non-members in order to provide exceptional member experiences and ensure performance goals are being met.
Utilize effective coaching methods that create a motivating, welcoming and performance driven culture.
Create a motivating environment that nurtures employee engagement.
Complete any and all expected reporting in a timely manner and utilize this information to proactively shift focuses or drive sales results as needed.
Drive the generation of branch sales leads through community outreach opportunities, chamber of commerce, DSFS business partners and referral sources.
Monitor employees and their performance to assure adherence to policies, procedures and expectations.
Conduct ongoing training as needed to ensure adherence.
Support internal and external sales and service programs to achieve branch goals, including business development and community outreach.
Avidly promote and educate member and staff on the click, call and come in strategic priority.
What you will need: High School Diploma or GED required.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited University or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
4+ years of experience in Financial Services Sales and Service required.
1+ years of experience in a Leadership role required.
1+ years Cash handling experience preferred.
Demonstrated process improvement and problem solving skills required.
Strong Mathematical and logic skills required.
Excellent time management skills required.
Demonstrated capability to multi-task with a smile required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
Strong business acumen required.
Advanced customer service skills with capability to de-escalate situations professionally required.
Grit; willing to do what is takes to get the job done right required.
General business, finance, legal studies, or a related field.
May substitute education with 7+ years of consumer/mortgage lending responsibilities.
