The Supervisor, Borrower Communications is responsible for supervising the day-to-day operation of the Borrower Communications department.
This position supervises the staff who have daily task responsibilities and ensures they have appropriate procedural documentation and access to training to perform daily tasks.
Responsibilities: Assists in managing the day-to-day functions of the Borrower Communication department; supports the department’s processes and long term objectives Ensures procedures and desktop job aids for each process in the department are properly documented, maintained and followed Manages completion of risk associated compliance checks within the department Works closely with management within Servicing/Default Operations areas and throughout the organization, in order to identify opportunities for process improvement; provides on-going support to Servicing/Default Operations areas Evaluates options and plans/manages the implementation of enhanced business solutions Develops enhanced departmental processes that include strategic controls such as reconciliation and error management Develops and maintains training materials on various processes applicable to the department Manages employee/team performance including coaching, counseling and motivation; evaluates employees; investigates complaints or performance concerns; implements disciplinary action in consultation with manager and Human Resources department Provides mentoring and leadership to BCM team members in order to help gain efficiencies in process and maximize the overall adherence to communication change timelines Identifies and immediately reports issues and communicates gaps/potential risks relating to letter inventory and production; develops and manages the identified solution required for reconciliation and closure Conducts daily, weekly, and monthly reporting on departmental metrics related to vendor performance, letter status, accomplishments, productivity reporting, employee scorecards, priorities and/or issues Keeps abreast of developments throughout the company, along with any regulatory changes that could impact letters or requirements to create new letters Other job related duties as assigned Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, include but not limited to compliance and operational risk.
Demonstrate consideration for Cenlar’s reputation as well as our clients, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience 4+ years of related experience in a financial services industry Prior leadership experience; ability to work with all levels of individuals as a team player or in leadership role Strong business analysis, process management, project management and/or related business experience Working knowledge of mortgage servicing systems (MSP preferred), database systems (Cenbase preferred), Visio, Acrobat and SharePoint Diverse mortgage servicing experience with an understanding of regulatory requirements, including investors, Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA), insuring agencies, etc.
