The Project Manager Research works closely and collaboratively with the Research Director and co-Executive Directors of the Global Center for Technology Transfer (GCTT), other research center members (e.
g.
, other senior faculty, doctoral students, and post-docs), and other stakeholders to plan, direct, and organize operations for the GCTT, and execute against project requirements; identifies and acquires necessary resources and coordinates efforts by all parties to ensure timely delivery of project outcomes in accordance with sponsoring source's expectations.

Salary Range $55,250 - $85,000 per year, DOE Close Date 22-February-2024 Category 03 Essential Duties Plans, develops, implements, and manages the internal operational framework for the GCTT.
Coordinates project/program activities, defining scope, strategy, budget, and objectives in collaboration with key stakeholders.
Assists in ensuring objectives and timelines for sponsored research are met.
Identifies critical resources from internal and external sources to optimize the GCTT’s mission, including the identification of new funding announcements and oversight of proposal submission.
Manages financial oversight, including budgeting, expense tracking, and reimbursements.
Evaluates project budgets, establishes expenditure controls, recommends resource allocation, and identifies funding opportunities.
Manages the master schedule, tracking milestones, critical paths, and dependencies.
Collaborates on task assignments, expectation adjustments, and project status inquiries.
Prepares and responds to regulatory reporting/filings for compliance.
Coordinates with project teams for timely preparation and submission of status reports, deliverables, and reports to all interested parties.
Oversees the creation and monitoring of content on the GCTT center website.
Proactively identifies solutions to enhance project and Center operations and cultivates collaborative relationships within the scope of projects.
Networks with partners and identifies program expansion opportunities.
Facilitates consultant hiring, student recruitment, and payment processes.
Helps with the organization, planning, and implementation of GCTT events and workshops Serves as a liaison between the GCTT team, external sponsors, and pre/post-award ASU Research Administration teams.
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related field and five (5) years related experience; two (2) of which are in project management.
Desired Qualifications Ability to clarify roles and responsibilities to ensure understanding of expectations; takes action to mitigate conflict; escalates serious project issues.
Knowledge of available project management applications and associated project specific technology requirements.
Knowledge of the use of standard project management practices, principles, techniques and methods, especially in the context of ASU.
Working Environment Activities are performed partly in one’s home environment (i.
e.
, remotely), and partly in a regular, climate-controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, standing, walking.
Visual acuity and manual dexterity associated with daily use of desktop computer, bending, stooping, reaching and lifting up to 20 pounds.
Ability to clearly communicate to perform essential duties.
