ASU plays hosts to visiting students from Egypt who study in the Fulton Schools of Engineering for one semester and return to their university in Egypt.
This program is operated by ASU staff who support the students in regards to logistics of arriving, housing, class enrollment, adjusting to live in Arizona, and other needs during their time at ASU.
Reporting to the Associate Director, this Management Intern will coordinate with the program representatives and students to make sure needs are being met.
Days and Schedule: Part-time 20 hours per week This is a grant funded position.
Continuation is contingent on future grant funding.

00 per hour Close Date 29-February-2024 Category 02 Essential Duties Coordinate arrival and departure logistics for the visiting students from Egypt.
Inspect housing units before move-in and after move-out.
Help distribute students’ cash advances and other materials (e.
g.
, textbooks).
Arrange program’s arrival orientation and shopping trip.
Serve as primary point of contact for students during the semester.
Hold weekly office hours on the Tempe campus.
Review and approve independent travel requests and log traveling students’ information (required by program sponsor).
Set schedule of events for the visiting students for the semester Organize two student field trips during the semester and lead them in-person.
Host a graduation event at the end of the semester.
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related field; OR, any equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
Desired Qualifications Experience in educational program and activity management and coordination.
Familiarity with U.
S.
immigration regulations.
Evidence of English/Arabic bilingual preferred.
Working Environment Performs activities in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of keyboarding and manipulating a computer mouse.
As physically able, could incorporate frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 25 pounds.
Regular activities require ability to quickly change priorities, which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts.
May be required to perform tasks in the field within and/or across University campuses.
Ability to clearly communicate to perform essential functions, factoring in accommodations that may be needed with the assistance of accessibility devices and tools.
Evening and weekend work hours may be required.
Department Statement The International Students and Scholars Center is one of several departments comprising the Division of Enrollment Services which utilizes a variety of strategies to enroll and support a diverse student population representative of Arizona State University's vision.
