Male white Cockatiel needs a new home.
I bought him from a breeder in 2021 as a 9-month-old breeding stock bird-he is a Clear Pied (not a Lutino).
He had a few missing feathers on the back of his head, but the breeder assured me it was from his parents plucking him, then quickly stuck him into my pet carrier.
Once I got him home (40 mile round trip), I realized he had an actual bald spot.
Of course, I could not contact the breeder, so I still have "Bobby" (named after Robert Duvall because of the bald spot).
There was never a question about breeding him-it was never going to happen.
He did turn out to be a personable little guy-talks quite a bit and can imitate a chicken laying an egg.
I have kept him outdoors with my breeding stock, but I have always thought he'd be a great pet with just a little work.
FULL DISCLOSURE-he has that bald spot that will never go away, but he has been a healthy bird since day one, and I think he'd be better off in someone's home.
He gets along great with other birds (I've kept
him in my baby bird cage since I brought him home, so he's been exposed to a lot of cockatiels) and has never shown any aggression.
I'd really just like to see him get in a good home.
I'm requesting a $50 OBO rehoming fee or Bobby to go to his new home.
Please e-mail me.
