Not interested in paying $500+/month for a tiny “luxury” studio apartment? Want private outdoor space? Like having roommates? Don’t have furniture and need flexibility? Welcome to your new Arcadia Lite home near Indian School and 24th Street! We are looking for a respectful, clean, and laid-back housemate to share our 2,800-square-foot home.
Here are the details.
Location: Indian School & 24th Street area (1 min walk to this corner).
You’ll be 2 minutes from Highway 51, 12 minutes from Downtown Phoenix, less than 5 minutes from both Whole Foods, Sprouts, and Fry’s, and about 7 minutes to Safeway on Camelback and 32nd.
The neighborhood is quiet (very little road noise, no crazy neighbors) and is one of the few places in Phoenix that has walking distance restaurants and bars, including some of Phoenix’s best.
We regularly walk to Glai Baan, The Starving Artist just opened across Indian School from us (3 min walk), there are multiple gyms within walking distance, a great local southern restaurant, and the Rebel Lounge (live music venue), all without getting in your car.
The Space: You will have a fully furnished room with a comfortable King-Size bed, a good-sized closet, and a TV with an Apple TV (BYO logins).
Although your bathroom is not ensuite, it will be 99% yours and is adjacent to your room.
The only exception to its privacy is that it is also the guest bathroom on the rare occasions we have people over or a guest staying with us.
You can use all of the spaces on the property except: 1.
Our bedroom/bathroom suite 2.
The two offices 3.
TV room (not strictly but we don’t want to be competing for use of the TV and one of our home offices is directly adjacent to the TV room so using it during the day would be annoying.
You have a TV in your room so shouldn’t be an issue) House Amenities: Fully Furnished: You don’t need to bring anything.
We’ll provide everything down to sheets and towels.
Massive Chef's Kitchen: Newly renovated and fully equipped.
We cook 4-6 days per week and would be happy to include you on occasion if you want to chip in for food.
We have an espresso machine you can use if you’d like to chip in for coffee beans.
Outdoor Living: A large backyard and patio area with a Traeger grill, a hot tub, a Sonos speaker system, an outdoor fireplace, a hammock, and a gym.
You’re welcome to use the gym as long as you take care of the equipment.
We have a Peloton bike we aren’t currently using but can get out if you have an account and want to use it.
Storage: We have a lot of extra storage space if you have stuff you can’t fit in your room.
Street Parking: Our driveway only has space for 2 cars but the street directly in front of the house is always available and has no restrictions.
Lease Deal: All in $1489/month on a flexible month-to-month lease, including: -Full furnishing -Utilities (electric, water, trash etc.
) + Internet (1gb Fiber) -Bi-weekly cleaning service, which includes sheets and towels -Landscaping -Household basics (paper towels, toilet paper, laundry detergent, cleaning supplies etc.
) - assuming normal usage.
The above rate applies to a single person (we’ll consider couples but at a different rent rate).
We both work from home so would like your job to be outside of the house with somewhat normal work hours.
We're dog-friendly, assuming your dog is well-behaved and gets along with ours.
No pet fees or deposits.
We will take 1 month of rent as a deposit and you will pay rent upfront each month.
Either you or we can terminate the lease 30 days in advance (e.
g.
if you/we want to cancel as of Feb 7th, you/we need to give on or before Jan 8th).
You’ll get your security deposit back when you leave.
Who We Are: We are a laid-back couple with a 5-year-old lab who will become your best friend after 1 hour.

My girlfriend works for a tech company.
We moved to Phoenix from Boston in 2019.
We recently bought/renovated this house and we’re excited to have a roommate again, which we haven’t done since leaving Boston! We live healthily, travel relatively frequently, and are both moderate extroverts.
Who You Are: If you’re a non-smoking, clean, respectful, and laid-back person, pretty much anything else goes.
You do need to have a steady income and we’d like you to work somewhat regular hours outside of the house (hospital shifts are not an issue).
That said, we will need to meet (at least virtually) and make sure we’re all going to get along before agreeing to a lease.
