Job Summary Paradise Valley Community College (PVCC) is seeking a Science, Technology, Engineering,and Math (STEM) Instructional Service Coordinator who assists on campus with the planning, development, coordination and evaluation of tutoring services and student success coaching.
STEM Instructional Coordinator may act as a lead worker to assist with STEM tutors to create and conduct study skills, and tutoring workshops.

1) First-year retention rates 2) Graduation rates 150 percent normal program completion time 3) Improvement of student success rates over time 4) Graduation rates of underrepresented minority students 5) Graduation rates of low income students Essential Functions 25% Coordinates tutoring and coaching services for STEM courses and expands STEM support as needed; Collaborates proactively with faculty, staff and administration on matters related to STEM tutoring and testing; May coordinate STEM testing; Communicates regularly with faculty concerning the implementation and effectiveness support; Provides a high level of organizational, interpersonal, analytical and professional judgment; Provides program quality control; Collaborates with advising and student affairs peer leader programs; Cross-trains to holistically support students; Partners with faculty for the development of presentations for Learning Success Center training sessions for tutors and success coaches.
25% Promotes and develops marketing materials for the STEM program to students, faculty and staff; Creates promotional materials in various formats; Collaborates with other departments in the development of website interactive components and content to enhance student engagement that may increase the usage of services offered in the LSC 20%; Collaborates with designing and maintaining training materials and forms; Collaborates in creating and delivering contextualized study strategies workshops, tutoring and coaching sessions.
Coordinates and administers training sessions; Observes sessions and provides feedback; tracks study session attendance and work hours of part-time staff; participate in weekly staff meetings and ongoing workshops 15% Maintains accurate data and analyzes and evaluates STEM program for reporting purposes; Prepares and maintains quantitative and qualitative reports and statistics through utilization and grade reports as well as student/STEM peer leader surveys and faculty evaluations; Prepares monthly and semesterly and academic year statistical reports on the program usage and impact 15% Develops, refines and implements plans for program expansion into new courses while simultaneously sustaining current scope of offered courses; May provide recommendations to develop and update policies and procedures, goals, objectives and Student Learning Outcomes; Evaluates, disseminates and reports on Student Learning Outcomes for the program.
Performs other duties as assigned to include assisting the Supplemental Instruction Coordinator Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution in a related program area, and one year of program coordination experience.
OR An equivalent combination of the conferred degree and directly related full-time work experience as described above sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation, may be considered.
Desired Qualifications 1.
Two years full-time equivalency of experience in higher education teaching, tutoring, coaching, advising or testing services in the STEM disciplines 2.
Two years full-time equivalency of experience in taking a collaborative role in a college learning support program or in a similar setting (e.
g.
learning assistance, tutoring, academic success center).

Demonstrated experience facilitating training/study skills workshops in a STEM field 4.
Demonstrated experience in collecting, analyzing and maintaining data for reporting purposes 5.
Demonstrated experience with online systems : Google Suite (including Google Meet), TutorTrac, SIS, Canvas 6.
