Job Summary GateWay Community College is now hiring a great new role! The successful candidate will consistently deliver high quality lab training and on-line/in-person lectures that prepares students for jobs in the massage industry.
They will ensure the curriculum is current with industry standards, work with professional organizations associated with massage therapy, develop curriculum, assess students with tutoring, track attendance, and participate in program reviews.
This position requires effective communication skills, strong Microsoft office skills, excellent classroom management skills, and must be able to work in a team environment.
The position also requires the ability to work at all GateWay Community College Campus locations.
Must hold a current Arizona State Massage Therapy License and be in good standing.
This position will report to our Deer Valley campus: 2931 W Bell Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85053.
Additional Information This position will report to GateWay's Deer Valley Campus: 2931 W Bell Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85053 Essential Functions 60% - Provides instruction (in-person and on-line) and conducts on-the-job training classes, lab demonstrations or sessions.
15% - Plans, review and evaluates student work assignments; records student progress; observes and evaluates student work to determine progress; provides feedback and coaching.
15% - Prepares and maintains student records and reports grades and clocked hours.
10% - Assists with the hiring, coaching, training, scheduling and oversight of other massage instructors.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or GED and five (5) years of experience in Message Therapy.
There is no substitution or equivalency allowable for the High School Diploma or GED.
Desired Qualifications A.
Strong written communication skills as demonstrated by resume.
B.
Five years’ experience or more as a Massage Therapist working on clients in a professional environment.
C.
Two years of teaching or more in the field of Massage Therapy.
D.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
E.
Experience working with a diverse population of students OR Experience with providing training to diverse groups, etc.
F.
Experience with (online systems, i.
e.
Google Suite, CRM, SIS, Canvas, etc.
