Part-Time Dance Teacher (7-12)

We are looking to hire a passionate dance instructor to join the American Leadership Academy dance studio at our Gilbert North JH/HS.
You will be responsible for teaching and training a dynamic group of students in a wide range of techniques and ballroom dance styles, ensuring that all students are engaged, motivated, and inspired to reach their potential in the area of ballroom dance.

Proven experience as a dance instructor in the specific area of dance is required.
Responsibilities: Teach all common ballroom dance styles and methodologies from beginner to advanced level.
Develop dance curriculums and prepare lesson plans.
Communicate with a diverse group of teachers and students.
Engage, encourage, and motivate students to reach competitive goals.
Evaluate student performance and make recommendations for improvement.
Choreograph routines and select music for recitals, concerts and competition.
Provide a fun and creative environment.
Keep up to date in your discipline and implement any changes to the dance routines and curriculum as needed.
Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Dance or qualification from an accredited college.
3 years previous teaching experience in dance required.
Excellent communication skills.
Energetic, driven, creative, and dependable.
Demonstrate patience and leadership skills.
Ability to work a full-time teaching schedule.
References from past employment or students will be required.
Video submission of previous students work (such as a dance recital) or competitive choreography will also be required.
