) Level 1 Fingerprint card, TB test Preferred- First Aid/CPR, and Food Handlers Card (can get once hired) Preferred-6 months experience in a licensed child care facility PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES Provides care and instruction to promote academic and social/emotional growth Monitors children’s behavior and safety inside and outside of the classroom Assists with clean-up and other related tasks following daily activates Prepares classroom for activities, including creating lessons and preparing materials Creates bulletin boards, maintains materials and supplies, contacts parents and may make copies May attend in-service training sessions Performs other duties of a similar nature or level Positions in this class typically require: stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and seeing Incumbents may be subjected to blood and other body fluids Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS Knowledge of applicable Federal, state, county and city statutes, rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
