JOB SUMMARY Evaluate the performance and knowledge of rotor wing pilots in accordance with FAA regulations and company policies through pilot proficiency checks as directed.
Provide flight and ground instruction.
Assist the Chief Pilot in reviewing and updating the pilot training curriculum.
Assist in creating necessary flight documents as required of the training department.
Maintain compliance with the Department of Health and OSHA rules as they apply to Air Medical Department.
Responsible for supporting company Safety Management System activities.
Comply with company HS&E policies and procedures.
Promote PHI's Destination Zero initiative at the line level.
Maintain currency.
Any other duties as assigned.
BENEFITS This is a part-time 3 position working on average less than 30 hours per week or less than 84 hours in a 28-day period and not eligible for welfare benefits.
This position is only eligible for Paid Time Off (PTO) at the part-time rate and other benefits as prescribed by law.
SCHEDULE/LOCATION 7 12-hour shifts in a 28-day period.
Candidates must live within a one-hour drive or sixty (60) miles from the base (whichever is greater) of the candidate's residence.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE Commercial and Instrument Helicopter Ratings First Class Medical CAMTS Requirement // 2,000 Total Hours // 1,500 Hours Helicopter // 1,000 Hours PIC Helicopters // 500 Hours Turbine Helicopters // 100 Hours in Unaided Night Operations or 50 Hours Unaided and 100 Hours Night Vision Goggles (NVG) Helicopter candidates must meet 250 pounds body weight for single and twin engine helicopter.
Must be able to pass FAA physical exam and PHI Air Medical functional capacity exam (strength and flexibility assessment, lift 100 pounds), drug screening and background screen BE200 Qualified & Current Preferred 2 Years EMS Experience Preferred // 100 Hours Mountain Time Preferred // 150 Hours Nighttime or 10 Hours Night Time in Past 36 Months Preferred // Night Vision Goggles Experience Preferred // 200 Hours in Type Preferred // 100 Hours Instrument Time or 10 Hours Instrument Time in Past 36 Months Preferred Strong Communication, Internal and External Customer Service Skills For Traditional Customers only, interview and acceptance by customer For Traditional Customers.
Verify with Area Manager Annual Flu Vaccine Must be able to pass pre-placement physical exam including functional capacity exam (strength and flexibility assessment, lift up to 100 pounds) and drug and background screening OTHER External search may run concurrently with internal job posting.
Successful applicant will participate in community outreach programs and adhere to PHI Health policies.
Some lifting will be required to assist in the loading and unloading of patients and equipment.
Perform line pilot duties IAW GOM.
Support Safety Management System, Destination Zero, and other company safety campaigns.
Work with both internal and external customers to provide safe, efficient, courteous, and reliable service.
